Little Bear Storage is a family run business based in Washingborough, Lincoln. Our team have been in the shipping container industry and dealing with self storage operators for over 10 years. Opening a storage company of our own was the next logical step. We chose to open our first site locally to make sure we can give you the best possible service. What payment methods are available?

We welcome payments online or by bank transfer/standing order, we are a cashless facility so there's no cash payments available.
Do I have to pay a deposit, if so how much is it?

We require a £50 deposit for each booking which will be returned to you within 7 days of return of your key when you move out.
What are your payment terms?

Do I have to come into the office to sign contracts or can I do it online?

You must not store (or allow any other person to store) any of the following in the Unit: (a) food or perishable goods unless securely packed so they are protected from and do not attract vermin; (b) any living creatures; (c) combustible or flammable substances such as gas, paint, petrol, oil, cleaning solvents or compressed gases; (d) firearms, explosives, weapons or ammunition; (e) chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents, toxic waste, asbestos or other potentially hazardous substances; (f) any item that emits fumes, or odours; (g) any illegal item or substances or goods illegally obtained such as illicit (counterfeit/smuggled) tobacco or alcohol and unlicensed or unsafe goods (such as toys, electrical goods, medicines, aerosols, cosmetics, fireworks); (h) goods which are environmentally harmful or that are a risk to the property of any person; (i) currency, deeds and securities; and (j) items which are unique in nature and/or where the value to you cannot be assessed on a financial basis
Would I be able to store a vehicle at this location?

What happens after I book?

Once you have reserved your storage on Explorage.com, you will receive an email from us confirming your
details. You will also be able to access your reservation at any time from your Explorage.com dashboard,
which you can login to.
The storage operator will also receive a similar email (and a call for good measure), and will then
contact you directly to request any additional details they might need to complete your storage
agreement, this often includes verifying your ID, confirming payment details, and signing the storage
agreement. Once this is completed, you can move your things in :)
How soon can I move my things in?

Moving in to your storage unit is quick and easy, and the timing depends on the storage operator you choose.
To get started, simply click "Reserve" for the storage unit you want and choose a preferred "Move In" day from the available calendar. The calendar will indicate any days that are unavailable for moving in, such as Sundays or days that require prior notice.
Once you've made a reservation on Explorage.com, the storage operator will contact you via email to request any additional details needed to finalize your storage agreement. This may include verifying your ID and signing the agreement. Once the formalities are completed, you can usually move in right away.
Additionally, you can find information about the storage operator's office hours and the hours you can access your storage unit, which might be different.
If you have an urgent moving need or can't find suitable move-in dates on the calendar, feel free to reach out to us via call or message. We'll do our best to make arrangements with the storage operator on your behalf.
